Forbes

Bubbly Paws Dog Wash and Grooming was just featured in Forbes Magazine. This might be the largest magazine we have ever been featured in and this is so exciting! We love Square and when they came to us about an article they were working on with Forbes that focused on small business, we said yes!

Introducing the Doodle Puppy Package

BubblyPawsFeb-33.JPG

It’s no secret that we LOVE doodles, but they also have some of the hardest coats to try to maintain. At Bubbly Paws, our goal is not just to groom dogs, but also help educate owners on how to care for them outside the store. We have put together our Doodle Puppy Package for $36 and includes all the tools you need at home to maintain your dogs coat. Also included in the package is a 5 minute consultation with one of our expert groomers to get custom advice for your pup!

You can schedule this consultation online by clicking here, or call/text our stores. This package can be added to any full service grooming, or as a separate walk in service.

Twin Cities Dancing With the Celebrities

Lori's dog Waffles is a regular at Bubbly Paws Dog Wash! One of the benefits of being a small, locally owned business is that we can help support our friends and customers when they are involved in something cool.  So here goes... Our good friend and professional fitness model, Lori Harder, has been featured on Fox News, ESPN, Oxygen Magazine and others is part of the Twin Cities Dancing With The Celebrities on Saturday, February 22nd.  Lori also brings her dog Waffles to Bubbly Paws to get groomed and to our other business, Pampered Pooch Playground for doggy daycare.  Rumor has it, Lori has some killer dance moves! To learn more about Lori or to buy tickets, click here.  If you go, you will also see Trycia and myself there cheering her on.  Oh, and make sure to check out the silent auction items, there is a pretty sweet package from a really cool dog wash :)

The dogs of LA

20130210-212821.jpg
Trycia and I were in LA this weekend for a mini-winter getaway with some friends of ours! We always knew that LA was dog friendly, but we decided to do a photo montage to prove it! On the top left you will see Waffles who has been groomed at Bubbly Paws before her parents moved to LA. Her parents are good friends of our and we decided to go see how Waffles has adjusted to life in Hollywood and she LOVES it! She even learned how to wear her rockstar sun glasses!! While we were there we did check out a few dog washes, and have some new ideas..

We are now back in the cold and snow and are happy to be back ;)

Have a good night!

Social Media Done Right

It is no secret that we LOVE to use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at the dog wash.  Seriously, we have so much fun putting pictures up and interacting with our customers on there.  I get really annoyed with businesses that don't understand how to use it correctly.  I think my biggest problem is when a company put up "Like this picture if ____" or when companies try to sell products. Social media should be fun and interactive!  Trycia and I were in Kauai for the past few days and we had a blast there and I was very impressed with how well our hotel responded to social media.  As some of you might know I love coffee and I found out that our hotel was importing Settle's Best coffee rather than using the amazing Kona coffee which is gown locally!  Why would they order coffee that is mass produced over 2000 miles away and then have to ship it for people to enjoy OK coffee.  I asked them this question on their facebook page, and within about 3 hours I had a response saying that they have a coffee cart that brews Kona coffee... But to make it even better, they delivered 2 bags of coffee and coffee mugs direct to our hotel room so we could brew it in our room.  I mean seriously, what company does that?  I was just so impressed by them.  The trip was great and it is always hard to go away when you have 2 small businesses that you worry about.  Thankfully we have Lill who is an amazing manager, Jess who is an amazing groomer and out wonderful staff of Cat, Ashley and Kalyn. If you want to read more about our trip, visit the Pampered Pooch Playground Blog. So if you run a small business, there is your social media lesson for the day... Go to Kauai, and learn how to facebook!

Have a great night!

A fun day at Woofstock!

This past Saturday was one of my favorite dog events of the year... Linden Hills Woofstock!  Everyone always asks why it is my favorite event, and it is because we live in the Linden Hills area and it is our way of giving back to the community in which we live!  Both our businesses have so much in common with those of Linden Hills Businesses (we are small, local, community minded and try hard to be as green as possible).  For the past 4 years Pampered Pooch Playground has been a presenting sponsor, and Bubbly Paws has been a sponsor for the past 2 years.   All the products that we had for sale were either made by a local company or a green product! People that stopped out got to have fun in the Photo Booth and sample the doggy beer.  Jessica, our groomer at Bubbly Paws left the booth for a few minutes to grab something to eat, and her fan club must have stopped out!  In a 10 minute period, about 3 people were talking about how much they love her grooming style, and how we groom dogs at Bubbly Paws.  I really enjoyed getting this type of feedback!  We never  wanted to groom a bunch of dogs each day, but focus more on the quality of the groom and the stress free setting!

Have a great day!

Staff Night Out

Dog Friendly patio in Minneapolis,mn This past Sunday night Trycia and I took our staff out to celebrate our 1 year anniversary of being open.  I really believe that it is our amazing staff that makes Bubbly Paws Dog Wash such a success and we could never do it without them.  So to celebrate being open 1 year, we headed to Northeast Minneapolis to Psycho Suzi's.  We picked this place for a variety of reasons but the main reason was that they have a very dog friendly patio right on the river!  We counted 7 dogs that were dining or drinking with their owners.  Thanks again to our wonderful crew for such a great past year!

A Busy Weekend

This past weekend I worked at the Dog Wash both days and had so much fun.  Saturday night we had our Bubble Bath Party for Small Dog Rescue and there was an amazing turnout and raised money for a great rescue.   Then Sunday was busy all day long with lots of self-service baths, full-service baths and grooming.  I nicknamed today "black dog day", because it seemed like almost every dog that came in for a bath was black.  Crazy I tell you!!  Roxy even made an appearance both days at the dog wash and enjoyed greeting everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

New Years

Roxy and Max at Bubbly Paws Dog Wash in Minneapolis What a year!  It has been so much fun for Trycia and myself to watch Bubbly Paws Dog Wash take off and become what it is today!  Over the last 8 months since we opened, we have met some really great customers!

Today, the dog wash was closed, but that does not mean that we were not there.  Sometimes it is easier to do projects when we are closed... So Trycia and I spent a few hours there today cleaning and updating a few things.  We want to keep this place looking like it is brand new, and do everything we can to make it happen.  This weekend we were also dog-sitting Max, who is the Bubbly Paws poster dog.  We brought him and Roxy to help with some projects (the mostly ate bones).

Hope everyone had a great new years and we look forward to serving you in 2012.  We can't thank everyone enough!!

Maddie's New Collar

Maddie rockin' a Stunt Puppy collar at Bubbly Paws Dog WashOur dog wash employees are allowed to bring their dogs to work with them and we feel like they are all part of the Bubbly Paws family.  You will often see Maddie hanging out and playing with her collection of toys while her mom, Sarah works the front desk.  Maddie is just a puppy and is getting huge!  Today she was rockin' her new Stunt Puppy Collar.  Did you know that Stunt Puppy is a Minneapolis based company and one of the owners is a good friend of ours? Have a good night!

Wet dog in the tub

I can honestly say, I LOVE being a business owner and talking with customers.  Today Bubbly Paws Dog Wash was buzzing with customers, Cyndi our dog groomer was working hard and everything was running very smooth and everyone was in the mood to chat.  Nala the Wheaton came in for a bath and was so behaved while she was getting her bath.  Way to go Nala! Hope everyone has a great night!
